some pics of the money down here... and a few other random pics...

so today was just another day in chile... things are going pretty good... im learning a lot of things and my spanish is slowly but surely coming along... it seems like it is taking forever for me to understand things but then again its only been three weeks... i guess i just have to be patient
these pics are just some random pics i took today of the money here and of a few other things...
i have been thinking lately... (i know a shocker that i was thinking haha) but i have come to realize that even tho i have only been here for three weeks i can tell that things are going to be ok and that this experience, i will not only have forever but i am making friends and acquaintances that most people never have the chance to. I guess what i am trying to say is that i feel very grateful to be able to have an opportunity like this and i plan to do everything in my power to make it the best experience i can make it
oh and thanks for checking out my wonderful blog!!! haha

this is the equivalent of $1.93... but here in chile this could probably buy you three 12 oz. bottles of soda... food and drinks here are cheap but material goods cost about the same as in the states....

this is a pic of the gum here... this flavor is mint... pretty good just like the same stuff in the states

this is a pic of my blazer with all the pins i have collected so far.... most of them were given to me by other rotary students... but a few are from my grandmother and grandfather..... pretty neat

just a close up of a few of the pins....

some more pins....

this is equal to about $19.30

this is 500 pesos (dont know if you can read that or not...) but it is the equivalent of about one american dollar

this is worth almost a quarter in the states...

this equals $9.65

this equals $3.86

P.S. they do have other bills and coins... i just dont have them right now.... just didnt want people to think this was all there was!!!! haha

~LIVE IT UP~
cuidate!!!! (spanish for take care... i think haha)
